The race is not based as much on the roadbook as on the individual navigation skills, usage of the compass and other navigation systems.
The roadbook itself is pretty simple. It's purpose is to navigate you through well know paths and to allow each of the participants to return to the base camp before the evening. But, the collection of the flags on the harsh terrain will need good orientation on open areas, where good rock crawling techniques, side hill climbing and a good V-channel (lumberjack and tractor trails) navigation are all very important.
All the participants will be driving using the same roadbook without the classic "Adventure" and "Extreme" paths.
However, the roadbook will diverge at some points, so the "soft" route will bring less points (flags) than the "hard" one.
